proxiMate is a beacon enabled content delivery application. It enables users of the app to receive exclusive content from participating locations. Examples of this are offers from your local store you frequent; specials from the bar you just went to; and information about items in the store you entered.
Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life. Our app does not track the GPS location itself but this feature has to be on to be able to recognize beacons in range (using Bluetooth (BLE) and not GPS).
